Well, I’ve finished my narration of this magical, fantastic, funny, life-affirming epic from the brilliant mind of author Vann Chow. Phew! It was quite a ride! Such a cast of characters to voice…and a real challenge for me. I honed cantonese accents of all ages and genders, and Russian, German and Mongolian..! All from watching appropriate films. Supernatural entities, a snake demon and Buddha! There is also the added joy of my singing (as a twenty something guy from England) I mean, THIS is 15 hours of my heart and soul!
It is now out on sale at Audible and Amazon, so pop me in your ears and take me on holiday, a road trip or jogging! I hope you enjoy the book, it really is quite remarkable.
My next book is a horror anthology based on the favourite songs of Author Mathew Cash, Burdizzo Books.
I have just completed the first story, based on a song by The Stone Roses. It is darker than Special Agent Dale Cooper’s coffee. I mean it!
Thank you so much for dropping by!
Stay safe and see you soon!
Hello! I hope you are all well? Here are a few audiobook trailers that are slightly more ‘fruity’ than on the Audible site.
Feel free to share to those who may be interested…and please do check out my youtube channel ‘Literature Narration Cherry McIntosh’ catchy title, I know! Subscribe and like if you fancy! I will be uploading some more classic literature videos soon, so I can read you a bedtime story!
Thanks again for stopping by and supporting me on this journey!
Ta ra for now,
Well, I now have four audiobooks out on sale via Audible! PLUS, six pending.
I now also understand that the majority of the marketing, is my responsibility….because…..sales are not good!
I now have my own YouTube channel, which I have created to read classic literature of all types from the public domain. For your pleasure. This will hopefully give feedback on my skills as a narrator, so that I may improve them and maybe even get some subscribers! I will also put trailers of my audiobooks on there too.
If you have any ideas that could help me….please let me know!
Thanks for dropping by!
Well, after a month in ACX QA, my first narration is for sale on Audible and Amazon! If you do buy it (I love you!) and enjoy it, please let me know! Immortal Magic Audiobook | B.J. Fournier | Audible.co.uk
Feedback is valuable to me, but please be kind!
Since this book, I have completed 4 others, The Little Exorcist by Alys Daddi, I AM FAWN JONES by Colin J Galtrey and a couple of erotic stories. I am currently working on a book of poetry and 3 more novels. I have learned a lot!! About narration, editing, patience and life!
Below is a link to a teaser for The Little Exorcist…
Thanks for dropping by and see you soon!
Since we last met, I have completed my first erotica narration.
Firstly, let me tell you that I love erotica. I was, however a little nervous to put my own voice to one; Why? Well..I imagine it is what I thought my friends and family would think. EVERYONE seems excited about it, so on I went.
The story is a fetish one. Microphillia and Macrophillia…
Before you faint, the story (and in fact most) of the author’s stories are sweet, gentle, highly sexy and fun. My particular story involved superheroes and a villain with growth technology!
My foray into audiobook narration is a many splendored thing, and the delving into and lending my voice to different genres is a joy…! Who wants the same sauce on their pasta each day? not me!
Anyway, the book is complete and, I’m happy to report that the author loved it, and has sent me another! Hooray!
Below is a non-explicit snippit.
My next project is a book of poetry…Words without end.
Thanks so much for dropping by, see you soon!
I have finished my narration of The Little Exorcist by Alys Daddi. I actually feel quite bereft! I fell in love with the Derwin family. I think you will too.
Now…the production of the audiobook.
Editing to ACX standards is a real learning curve for me. My first book is still in the system, although I have already learned enough to know that I may have ‘ over-produced ‘ it!
In the last month, I have talked to veteran audiobook narrators, the majority of which are now so established, that they are able to hire proofers and editors. Their advice and anecdotes on all things narration has been so helpful, I am very grateful..and I know that I am already improving.
I am actually enjoying the editing, although 42 chapters = looooong days. I am learning as I go.
My author, Alys, has been a joy and has trusted my judgement entirely on the narration and voicing of her characters…she will hear my work at the weekend. I hope she approves!
I start a new genre of book next week..
An erotic story..
Thanks for popping by,
I have been very busy with my current book narration and have another booked straight after! Hooray!
I have learned an enormous amount on the art and practicalities of audiobook narration in the last fortnight. Some horror stories and some advice, both of which have compelled me to bring everything to each project and to not even THINK about the money yet!
I thought it might be easier to show you how I find the voice to each character, to bring them to life. So here is a video!
A few auditions, two of which I succeeded in getting, the other, I am waiting to hear.
The last one’s sound isn’t very good as it was one of my first auditions, I know what I’m doing now. Kind of.
This is ‘Mike’.
We are in the early stages of our relationship, but already it feels like home. I am clingy and eager to please … he, is the strong, silent type.
We have tried many positions, our favourite is him on top.
He loves it when I talk deep and slow, and positively TINGLES when I speak with a French accent!
He was a little out of my league, so I am eternally grateful to my eminent sister for organising the relevant introductions…
I have completed my first book narration. The role of producer almost triumphs over that of narrator…but that may be because I had never edited sound files before! It was extremely time consuming, as I had to comprehend what the hell I needed to do. I have learned a lot.
Today, I start reading and preparing my next project! Can’t wait!
Thanks for dropping by, stay safe and see you soon, macaroon.
